DOGPILE
A Trully remarkable engine. In simplest the of terms Dogpile is a search engine that searches other search engines. Also, you have a multitude of options to choose from including limiting searches to ftp sites or Usenet groups. I really like dogpile as I considered it to be the "lazy man's" search engine. Since, instead of wasting time going from search engine to search engine they are all there for your viewing pleasure. My second favourite search engine is Yahoo (Do you yahoo? :-)) I find it to be quick and clean plus it doesn't hurt that it has a canada only mirror site. However, you sometimes have to weed trough many layers just to get an actual web address instead of another listing.

Linux Online!


Linux Online is the site to go to if your new to linux or you need general information about the Linux
There are different categories such as:
Distributions: where you can find links and information on all the different versions of Linux.

Hardware: What computer systems linux is compatible with.

Applications: Just about every major/minor application for linux worth mentioning is here in different categories
Database tools, Development tools , Internet utilities etc...

They offer many others categories not mentioned above from user group listings in different countries, to a online bookstore where one can purchase books pertaining to the Linux field.

COBOL Foundation

COBOL Foundation is the source of information on the COBOL industry for developers and individuals alike. The COBOL foudation provides information ranging from the capabilites of the COBOL language to the development tools/utilites to available computer applications written with COBOL language. The site also provides links to other COBOL exclusive sites such as Object-Z Systems and the COBOL standards.

While there is more to this site than just RISC computer systems. SUN is a long time leader in the field of RISC computing. On this site see the latest in RISC chips, and future chips coming down the pipe line. For the hardcore techie there are block diagrams and spec sheets to look at down to the most minute detail. The rest of us can can drool over the latest highend Workstations and Servers then shudder at their prices.
